We ended our study of Folk Tales with a Three Little Pigs House Challenge. Their directions were to build a house for one of the 3 little pigs using toothpicks, and toothpicks only. The house needed to support weight, and we used snap cubes as our weight. This challenge was way more difficult for them than I thought...
Some tried sticking the toothpicks into the carpet.
Some thought about trying to build a teepee... I guess the project in the fall inspired their buildings...
Avery was the first to attempt the lincoln log type building.
Here is Avery and Sadie's Little Pigs House...with 9 cubes!
They were so proud!
Of course I had to give it a go...
