Several Weeks ago we began our Nonfiction unit of study. We kicked this off by reading the book The Wise Woman and her Secret. This book encouraged us to wander and wonder. So, we made wonder bags (ziplock bags with a pencil and 3x5 cards inside) These bags were to be carried around inside and outside so that they could write something they wondered about. Quickly the bags were full of questions our kids had about the world around them and about the topics they were interested in.
