Gingerbread experiment

We have read 9 versions of The Gingerbread Man and we had one question...
What would have happened if the Gingerbread Man had swam across the river himself?

They wrote their hypothesis first. We set the timer for 20 minutes and submerged our gingerbread man. Each student had their own man in water.

We had a large clear case to put one in too.

He sank when we added water.

20 minutes later...

He floated in our jar.

A week later....
Kinda gross!
